For Time AND All Eternity ∞
Back in June, we were able to be married for time. Our Bishop ended the ceremony with, "as long as you both shall live" and "I now pronounce you husband and wife, legally and lawfully wedded for the period of your mortal lives." Though our wedding brought us joy and we were happy to be getting married, that one phrase brought sadness to both of us, and we felt a greater desire to get to the temple. You see, in the temple, a marriage is sealed by the power of God, binding Him as a partner in the union, and it is promised to endure through the eternities. NOTHING sounds better than having that promise from our Heavenly Father. So, on September 5, 2020, almost exactly three months after we were civilly married, we went together to the House of the Lord in Payson, Utah and were sealed.
